FLOREAL STYLE
Line of product:
At the turn of the twentieth century a common movement arose that was generally referred to as Art Nouveau. The significant features of this style included the repetition of motifs with mirror and symmetrical effects and a desire to draw inspiration from the harmonious and sinuous forms of nature.
NEW FEATURES IN STRUCTURAL LINES: A FRAME ON THE HANDGRIP AND A HALF MOON END PIECE AS WELL AS ENGRAVING AROUND THE BORDER.
STYLIZED FLOWERS AND LEAVES ARE EVERYWHERE. DECORATIONS ONLY OCCUPY A SMALL AREA OF THE PLATE AND ARE THUS MORE APPARENT.
THE END OF THE HANDGRIP RESEMBLES THE COROLLA OF A FLOWER.
